We would like to tease out some possible changes in attitude amongst churchgoers by asking about their beliefs relating to hell in a simple one question survey. Do you know of any way we could do this

It is unclear whether you have in mind a UK or international survey. If the former, you could approach some of the national polling companies (of which YouGov and Savanta ComRes, among others, have experience in conducting religious surveys) and request a quotation of likely cost. However, you would need to ask a screening question to determine regular churchgoers in a sample of the general population, as well as asking your question about hell. Christian Research maintains a panel of regular churchgoers and church leaders (called Resonate), but it is not a fully representative sample.
