    Remarks:

The date of Easter Sunday is a moveable feast. According to the Gregorian calendar, it can range between 22 March and 25 April in any given year. Plans for a fixed date for Easter were enshrined in the Easter Act 1928, but the statute has never been brought into force, by an Order in Council, and following resolutions of both Houses of Parliament, pending agreement within the Churches about the change (which has yet to be reached). This legal background was not explained to respondents to the survey.
