How many Jews are eligible to vote in the 2019 Election
-
The number is not known. As a rough guide, we may note that there were 215,720 Jews in Great Britain aged 16 and over at the 2011 census (i.e. they ticked the Jewish box at the religion question). From this figure one would need to make a deduction for those aged 16 and 17 but add on something for growth in the Jewish community since 2011 (and it is growing among the Strictly Orthodox). Of course, we would also need to make a deduction for those Jews who are not on the electoral register. A guess might be 180,000+ Jews eligible to vote on 12 December 2019, but they are very spatially concentrated.
